What is Liquid Wrap?

Liquid wrap, also known as "dip" is the generic term to describe a removable polymer coating which is sprayed onto a surface. The term "dip" or "dipping" makes reference to where the industry began, when people realized they could use Plasti Dip, the removable rubbery protective coating used to coat the handles of work tools, to temporarily change the color of wheels and trim and eventually entire vehicles. Today, with companies like P1, HaloEFX, and Autoflex, these liquid wrap products' composition and quality have improved dramatically.

Why?

Customization and protection, all while being completely reversible. The liquid wrap can help protect the factory finish beneath from stone chips, light scratches and the elements. Great for work, off road, exotic and show car owners alike. Maybe you just want to change the color of your wheels, or roof, or black out your chrome and badges. Virtually any combination or look is achievable. Upgrade to a pro level finish that can be sanded, buffed, polished and waxed; is fuel and solvent resistant; and is available in a matte/satin or high gloss finish that rivals the looks, feel, and quality of an OEM finish. Also available in clear, you can use it as a "clear bra" to protect part of, or your entire vehicle while maintaining your factory color.

Traditional or Pro, which one's for me?

Traditional liquid wrap coatings have come a long way in their own right. Our go to for traditional liquid wrap coatings is Halo EFX. Halo EFX has a vinyl like look and feel that is smooth to the touch for enhanced mar resistance and durability. In addition to these attributes, Halo EFX comes in an assortment of primary colors and clear. Halo EFX Real Clear is a great solution for mixing flakes, pearls and compatible pigment systems increasing the available color pallet to an almost limitless amount of variety and complexity. Below is an example of a traditional Halo EFX finish.

For the ultimate in removable finishes, a pro level finish like Halo EFX True Gloss or Autoflex is where it's at. Sandable, buffable, polish and waxable, fuel and solvent resistent, these pro level coatings rival the look, feel, and shine of an OEM paint finish. Sometimes referred to as removable paint, you'd be hard pressed to tell it was removable and NOT in fact "real paint". Pro level coatings are available in matte or high gloss.
